Katie Hammer

Foundation for Financial Planning (FFP)

Katie Hammer serves as Vice President of Development and Communications for the Foundation for Financial Planning (FFP), developing strategies to engage financial services professionals and companies in FFP’s mission to expand access to pro bono financial guidance for people in need, including low-income workers, families facing cancer, military veterans, underserved women, and more. Katie has worked in the national nonprofit space for more than 15 years, previously serving as Senior Director of Mission Advancement for America’s Promise Alliance, where she helped create fundraising and awareness campaigns focused on improving opportunity for America’s young people. She earlier worked in corporate relations at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and for the Chicago-based Blum-Kovler Foundation.

In 2018, Katie was named by InvestmentNews as a member of their “40 Under 40” class, recognizing her role in launching FFP’s successful Pro Bono for Cancer Campaign. In her hometown of Atlanta, Katie serves on the board of Fugees Family, a nonprofit focused on advancing educational justice for refugee youth. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
